When Christopher's posh old schoolmates arrive for the National Debating Championships final, the Scouse lads fear losing him to his old world. Instead, the groups begin to bond until a drunken factory break-in, crashed forklift and night in the cells forces Christopher to confront where he belongs. In the debate final, Christopher delivers a personal argument about why people divide themselves and how belonging to two worlds can be a strength. Meanwhile, Anna's return fractures Aimee and Wayne's alliance when she offers a different version of the past, leaving Aimee torn between loyalty to her dad and the mum she never stopped missing. Lewis's redemption arc implodes when his public apology tour exposes more chaos than growth, forcing Kieron to stage an intervention.
