Terms of use
The agreement between you and Rouic Ltd when you use UK TV Guide, on the web or in the app. It's short; please read it.
01About these terms
UK TV Guide (uktvguide.app and the UK TV Guide app) is provided by Rouic Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales ("we", "us"). By using it you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
How we handle personal data is explained in the privacy policy.
02The service
UK TV Guide is a free guide to what's on the UK's Freeview channels: listings, programme information, reminders, and the shows you follow.
Listings come from the broadcasters and the Freeview platform and can change at short notice. We work hard to keep them right, but we can't promise every time, title or description is accurate or complete. Reminders are scheduled on your device and depend on its settings, notifications being allowed, and the schedule not changing; please don't rely on UK TV Guide for anything that matters more than missing a programme.
We may change, add to or remove parts of the service, and we may stop it altogether. If we stop it, we'll give notice on the site and in the app where we reasonably can.
03Not affiliated with Freeview or the broadcasters
UK TV Guide is an independent service. It is not made, endorsed or sponsored by Freeview, Everyone TV, or any broadcaster. Freeview is a trade mark of DTV Services Ltd. Channel names and logos, programme titles, descriptions and images belong to the broadcasters and other rights holders; they are shown to help you find programmes to watch, and remain theirs.
Links to watch a programme take you to the broadcaster's own service, whose terms apply there.
04Your account
You don't need an account to use the guide. If you make one, you must be 13 or over, give a real email address, and keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete it at any time in Settings.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the service or other people at risk, or (as the privacy policy explains) hasn't been used for a long time.
05Using it fairly
- Use UK TV Guide for your own, personal, non-commercial use.
- Don't copy, scrape or harvest the listings or images from it in bulk, or use automated tools to do so.
- Don't try to break, overload or get around the security of the service, or get at accounts or data that aren't yours.
- Don't use it for anything unlawful, or in a way that harms other people.
06What's ours
The UK TV Guide software, design, name and logo belong to Rouic Ltd. You may use them only as part of using the service. The iPhone app is licensed to you under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, alongside these terms.
07Our responsibility to you
The service is free and provided "as is". As far as the law allows, we don't give any promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted, accurate or free of errors, and we aren't responsible for any loss that arises from relying on listings or reminders, or from the service being unavailable.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
08Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll change the date above and, for significant changes, let you know on the site and in the app. If you carry on using UK TV Guide after a change, the new terms apply.
09The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
